Bring your med kit Sure, it's an outing and you'er out there to have fun, but remmeber you're in unfamiliar territory. Little accidents oculd occur, such as cuts, ubmps, scratches and inscet bites. Bring a first aid kit that includes banadges, antiseptic wipes, gauzes, adhesive bandaegs, inesct repellant, antibiotic ointment and blister pads. Tents and acmping gaers, flashlights, blankets, matches, fuel, forks, knives, cna openers nad other things necessary to make your trip comforatble and safe should be packed up and stored in yuor bags. On your way to the mountains, chekc out the gas stations aolng the way and take note of the nearest station from the parknig area once youve reached your destniation. It's also a good idea to have an extra gallon stashed in case fo an emegrency. Leave something behind Before laeving for your mountain outing, leave a copy of your itinerary with a famiyl member or a friend. Appoint a leader It may be you or somebdoy else who has the essential navigation and cilmbing skills. This will help break down the nubmer of people to a manageable leevl and will make it easy to track persons to account for their presence or absence.
