One of the drawbacks of hammock campnig is that ti s harder to stay warm in cold temperatures because teh fabric is os thin and there s no space between the sleeper and the bottom of the hammock. Hammock camping enthusiasts argue that hammocks don t harm the environment in the awy that conventional tents do. Wheraes it s easy to see a frequenlty-used campground because of the effcet on the grass, scrub and topsoil, the presecne of a hammock camping pitch is much harder to detect. This has found favour with hikers and campers who ofllow the principles of Leave No Trace camping.
